FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Have questions? We’re here to help.

How can I provide feedback on my scan results?

You can provide feedback directly in the scan report. For each flagged item, mark it with a thumbs up or thumbs down and, if you’d like, select from a multiple-choice list of reasons to give more context. Your input helps improve ThinkTwice over time.

Can I white-label the UI for agency clients?

Yes, this option is available on Custom Coverage plans.

Do unused word limits roll over?

No. Each subscription includes a fixed monthly limit that cannot be carried over to future months. If you need custom usage limits, please contact us about Custom Coverage plans.

How do re-scan triggers work after I resolve findings in the report?

Not yet by default. You can manually re-scan your site or document at any time and a fresh report will be generated for any new flagged content found. ThinkTwice doesn’t automatically check your site for changes in the background.

How do I revert an ignore action and restore previously hidden findings?

Simply click Ignore again on an individual item, or use multi-select + Ignore to restore several items at once.

Can I export reports?

Yes, you can export a CSV file of any scan report by clicking the "export" button on the scan report page.

How are flagged issues prioritized?

Each flagged issue is assigned a severity level (high, medium, or low) and includes context on why it was flagged along with suggested alternatives to help guide practical edits. The default view for your dashboard sorts the highest severity items first.

Can multiple team members collaborate in the same dashboard?

Yes. Invite teammates via your ThinkTwice settings. Admins can manage roles and permissions.

Can I scan password-protected staging sites using Basic Auth or tokenized previews?

Yes. ThinkTwice supports scanning password-protected staging environments with Basic Auth or tokenized preview links, but this feature is only available on the Custom Coverage plans.

How deep will the crawler follow links, and can I cap depth or scope?

By default, the crawler follows links until it reaches a fixed page limit. On Agency/Enterprise plans, you may specify custom depth or scope settings to better fit your project needs.

Can I upload an XML sitemap to guide crawling instead of auto-discovery?

In most cases, our crawler can automatically discover your standard sitemap via your site’s index page. It uses the tree structure to prioritize scanning and surface relevant web pages, so manually uploading an XML sitemap is not necessary.

Do you support password-protected PDFs or files requiring authentication headers?

Yes. ThinkTwice supports scanning password-protected PDFs or files requiring authentication headers, but this feature is only available on the Custom Coverage plan. You can also copy and paste the text from these files directly into ThinkTwice on any of our pricing plans.

What is the maximum file size and page count for each supported document type?

You can upload files of up to 5MB and maximum character count of 100,000 words to ThinkTwice.

What file types can I upload?

ThinkTwice currently supports TXT, DOC, DOCX and PDF.

How does ThinkTwice handle sarcasm, satire, or historical context across multilingual content?

ThinkTwice’s AI is designed to recognize many cases where content may be sensitive or insensitive, even when tone or context play a role. However, sarcasm, satire, and historical references can still be misinterpreted. You can add additional context in your content settings, quickly bulk-ignore irrelevant flags, and share feedback to help improve future scans.

What kinds of false positives should I expect?

Sometimes ThinkTwice's AI may not fully grasp the context of your content. For example, sarcastic language or historical references may trigger unnecessary alerts. You can bulk-ignore items in one click and send us feedback if this is a recurring issue for you.

How long does it take for ThinkTwice to scan a website?

ThinkTwice can usually complete a scan and generate a report in less than 10 minutes, with most small sites loading in less than 2 minutes. You can submit a website for scanning and get notified of its completion via email.

Does ThinkTwice detect images or video?

ThinkTwice specializes in detecting text-based content sensitivities. Images, video and audio are not yet supported on the current version of ThinkTwice.

Does ThinkTwice work for every website?

ThinkTwice can only access publicly available URLs and text that are rendered as part of the DOM tree as text elements. For password-protected staging sites and other cases where the site is not publicly available, contact us about our Custom Coverage plan.

Which kind of content does ThinkTwice scan best?

ThinkTwice scans the following types of content:

  • Public website pages
  • Documents you upload – TXT, DOC, DOCX and PDF – for campaign and sales collateral
  • Copy-paste text for piecemeal, ad hoc content checks
How can I find out if my website works in China?

ThinkTwice focuses on content sensitivity, while website performance in mainland China is a separate challenge. For that, Chinafy has tools like Global Speed Test and Visual Speed Test for you to see how your website loads in China. If you’re experiencing performance issues and are looking to make your website run fast and fully, contact the Chinafy team today for a free consultation.

What’s the risk associated with sensitive content in China?

China’s CAC and MIIT shut down websites that are deemed inappropriate, non-compliant or sensitive for China audiences. In most cases, no warning is given to offshore operators before blocking – the site just becomes inaccessible to Chinese users. For businesses, this could mean lost reach to audiences in mainland China, broken links, wasted ad spend and damage to brand reputation.

Can you guarantee our site won’t be taken down?

No tool can guarantee your site's availability in mainland China. Authorities and platforms in mainland China may restrict access without prior notice, and clear appeal mechanisms may not be available. ThinkTwice helps you reduce the likelihood of disruption by surfacing potential issues before you go live.

What’s the underlying AI model?

ThinkTwice runs on OpenAI’s models, combined with our own scanning logic and interface purpose-built for China sensitivity detection.

Does ThinkTwice work for languages other than English?

Yes. We support English and Simplified Chinese and can analyze multilingual pages. Other languages are supported to varying degrees of accuracy.

Does ThinkTwice only work for China?

Currently, we specialize in detecting content that could be sensitive in mainland China. Stay updated with our email communications to be notified when ThinkTwice expands to other countries, regulations and categories.

What does ThinkTwice do that generic AI (ChatGPT/Grok/Gemini) can’t do?

ThinkTwice is purpose-built for China-sensitive content scanning. Unlike generic AI tools that require careful prompts and only work with pasted text or uploads, ThinkTwice can crawl your web pages to analyze all visible content. Results are presented in an actionable dashboard with:

  • Severity levels for each finding (high, medium, low)

  • Explanations of why content was flagged

  • Suggested safer alternatives

  • Tools to resolve, ignore, export, or re-scan to verify fixes

No prompts required – just clear, repeatable scans designed to reduce the risk of China content sensitivities.
